‘What is Performing' was founded by Fuensanta and Abi who are passionate about sharing the Alexander Technique. With backgrounds in performing arts, wellbeing and business they believe performing is part of our everyday life and a great performance looks and feels easy. They are based in London and run workshops all over Europe.
Fuensanta is a violinist, workshop leader and collaborator based in London. During her musical studies at the Royal Academy of Music she researched into the effects of performing and it’s consequences on musicians health. This led her to train as an Alexander Technique teacher with a passion for teaching music and any type of performing free from pain and anxiety. Her educational outreach work includes organisations such as Spitalfields Music, London Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Choir of London. She is currently teaching violin at Trinity College of Music Junior Department and Alexander Technique at Oundle School.
From training in theatre performance in New York to working as the executive assistant for the Owners of Manchester United Football Club, Abi has a diverse background that she brings to ‘What is Performing’. Being a trained yoga instructor, life coach and Alexander Technique teacher she thrives on creating exciting and playful workshops for performers. As well as running her own business in creative wellbeing she is also founder of ‘Inspiring Margot’ where they have created one simple mission: to support women in owning their own space; particularly in the workplace.
